Introduction to CrossFit
Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to CrossFit Barkada is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit Barkada classes. These are our Introduction to CrossFit classes. Taught by one of our lead trainers, these classes are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM and Saturdays at 11:00 AM. The course includes a total of 6 classes over a 2 week period.
These introductory classes offer an overview and familiarization of CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. The Introduction to CrossFit class is the perfect place to ask questions and make some new friends before transitioning into our regular classes. Also included with your Introduction to CrossFit are some of the tools you will need to be successful at pursuing your health and wellness goals such as:
- Body measurements
- Goal setting
- 6-week meal plan
If you are already familiar with CrossFit methodologies and have trained in another certified location, you may be eligible for CrossFit Barkada’s Test-Out option. We offer a private session with our trainers to review your fitness level and knowledge of CrossFit. If you are able to demonstrate competency in CrossFit movements, you may wish to consider this Test-Out opportunity. Test out sessions are FREE!
